Awarded to a UK based engineering apprentice, aged between 18 and 22 as of 1st November 2024, who is employed by a company actively engaged in any manufacturing process involving sheet metal, metal forming and/or fabrication. The entrant can nominate themselves or be nominated by their employer.

It was created in 1949 in the name of The British Power Press Manufacturers Association with the purpose of representing the interests of the UK’s power press makers
